About Dry Eye Disease
Dry Eye is a common disease that can cause symptoms such as burning, itching, blurry vision, and red eyes. Over 30million Americans suffer from Dry Eye Disease. It is caused by the eye not producing enough tears or tear ducts not working correctly. Some who may be more at risk than others are people ages 50 years or older, contact lens wearers, people with autoimmune disorders such as Lupus or Sjogren syndrome, and people who suffer from skin diseases Such as Rosacea or Eczema.

2. Prescription Medication- If over the counter options are not enough to treat dry eye disease, Dr. Peter Pham and Associates may prescribe you other options such as Restasis or Xiidra. We do understand that some insurances may not cover the complete costs of these medications and offer discount coupons to assist in the cost.
3. Tear Duct Plugs- Our doctors specialize in insertion of tear duct plugs to help slow down the draining of tear ducts and keep tears from exiting your tear ducts. These punctal plugs may be covered by your Medical Insurance.
